About the Job
Lynchburg Daily Bread Kitchen Assistant:
- Reports to: Kitchen Manager.
- Schedule: 6:30am - 12:30pm, Tues/Weds - opportunity for more days based on performance.
- Pay starts at $13-14/hour, depending on experience.

Job Duties:
Complete various food preparation and clean-up tasks including:
- Prepare pans of meat for cooking.
- Make salad, chop produce/fruit.
- Monitor the time and temperature of cooking food.
- Open cans to prepare large portions of veggies, etc.
- Wash dishes.
- Assist Kitchen Manager and drivers in bringing up food for the day - must be able to lift 30 pounds throughout the shift.
- Assist in the supervision of community service workers.
- Once lunch is completed, assist in clean-up tasks of wiping down all surfaces, mopping, packing up recycling, etc.
